Luddenden Dragon

The commissioner's child produced a list of possible subjects for this carving, and my heart sank.   All too often the suggestions are either impossible to carve or unsuitable for the tree, and it's such a disappointment for them when their ideas are rejected.     Happily this time a dragon fitted the tree perfectly.     Life would have been easier if the children's play house had not been quite so close to the tree making it difficult to get the chain saw round to that side, but you cannot have everything.       I aimed for a friendly dragon with no scary bits, and hoped that I achieved it.
