Horwich Leaves
![]() |
|
Groundwork Trust, Bury asked me to carve some leaves on a tree in Horwich to represent the trees in the road names in the surrounding estate. The tree bent out over a culvert and some substantial scaffolding was required, hence the picture of me apparently with scaffold poles through my head. The leaves were from top to bottom, poplar, rowan, hawthorn, and sycamore. If I had realised that rowan leaf has 11 to 13 leaflets, I might have chosen a different tree. As it wasI chose to only carve 11 leaflets!
