5ft high Beech stump

The brief was to provide two of the most startling gargoyles I could.      This was not quite as easy as I first thought.      My vocabulary of face shapes is based people I see around me and that I draw whilst sipping a coffee in a cafe or waiting for the doctor.     There is not much gargoyle material in there.    I doodled and researched and got the most inspiration from a copy of a very expensive version of 'The Lord of the Rings'
