This was one of the first planned group carvings, before this group carvings had just happened.     I learnt a lot from this carving, such as

• You can only put figures between cracks in the wood.   If you put a figure over the crack it shows

• Variety of shapes around the legs is important because they could get very same.

• I should have thought about varying the height of the figures as they all follow the original wood surface an look a bit boring

I have put these into practice in later work
